We are a South African family currently living in New Zealand.Sad to say we never took the time to travel and explore our wonderful homeland. We planning a holiday in 2011 and a safari has always been our dream.I was very impressed with your website and how u do things.I would have loved to read more about other families and their travels especially with children and if it is wise as our little one will only be 2 and a half then. And i dont suppose you could give us a price more or less.Everything of the best with your company.God bless Verna

  2. Hi Verna, thank you for sharing your story with me. You have given me a topic to write on – thank you. We will definitely write about families that have traveled with us. Taking a two year old on safari is always a challenge, we actually have a family going in November this year that is going to stay at Royal Madikwe in the Madikwe Game Reserve. You must make sure that you get a child-friendly property, preferably one that has a children’s activity. Last year we booked clients at Khoka Moya in Manyeleti Reserve, Kruger and their child was 2 years old. They had an absolute blast. Of course you need to be aware that Kruger is a malaria area. Non-malaria areas are Madikwe, Welgevonden and the Eastern Cape.

I would love to help you plan your trip in 2011, my email address is sandy@hillsofafrica.com – what a special time you are going to have, going back with your family and visiting family back in SA?

Thanks for visiting and good luck in New Zealand. Sandy

  3. Nice tips, although there are allot of travel blogs scattered all over the internet, but usually at times its hard to find the right blog with the right information, these tips would prove helpful.
